Upcoming FP7 IP MATURE

In a highly competetive first call for FP7 within the Challenges 4.1 (Digital Libraries and Technology-Enhanced Learning), the proposal MATURE led by CIMNE (Administrative Coordinator) and FZI (Scientific Coordinator) has received a very good evaluation result (with 14.5 out 15 points) and is now in the middle of negotiations with the European Commission to prepare the grant agreement. The project is currently scheduled to start in March 2008.

The project explores the knowledge maturing perspective for different types of knowledge assets (content, processes, and semantics) and will deliver a Personal Learning Environment geared towards foster maturing within an organizational environment. More information is available at the MATURE web site. The project brings together an impressive team, including TU Graz (Stefanie Lindstaedt/Klaus Tochtermann), University of Innsbruck (Ronald Maier), SAP (Uwe Riss/Torsten Leidig), University of Paderborn (Johannes Magenheim), LTRI (John Cook), FHNW (Knut Hinkelmann), among others. Andreas Schmidt will take over the responsibility of scientific coordination of the project.

The project also offers the opportunity for an associate partnership. Please contact the scientific coordinator if you are interested or have further questions.
